spring ~
A month or so ago, I bought a new camera body. I'm fairly rough on cameras. It's a personal motto, regarding electronics, that it's better to use and abuse something, than to not use it at all. The camera lasted one day before a defect appeared. Until I remedy that situation, I've been taking an abundance of photos with my phone.
Dreams have been coming true left, right and centre these days. As with everything in life, the pendulum swings both ways. The human realities of such dreams catch me off guard at times. For the most part though, I am in awe of life and its timing.
I'm currently on my second patrol with the Coast Guard as a casual deckhand. This summer my schedule should be around 28 days on, 28 days off. I'm looking forward to spending summer days home, for the first time in a number of years.
Eva has gone off to Sweden. It would have been amazing to go with her and see friends and family during mid-summer, but the call of home was loud this time.
We'll see where this all leads. For now, the food has been great, teachings clear and beds comfy.
There's one more week of exploring the coast while on-call for search and rescue. We'll head to Port Hardy to crew change and perhaps I'll be able to cross paths with familiar fishing faces there too.
All the best~
